Illustration
Drawing is where everything started for me and the habit never quite left. Long before pixels and screens, the only tools I needed were a pencil, paper and a desire to capture what I saw. Whether translating a complex political thought into a single-panel cartoon or capturing the exact likeness of a person or object, the work in this collection spans editorial illustrations, portraits and hand-drawn studies.

Commissioned portraits created in chalk pastel are where I began my career, and they still hold a special place in my heart. In these pieces, capturing an exact likeness is everything, demanding a deliberate, considered hand where every mark counts.

Colored pencil shares that same slow, deliberate build as my first love, chalk pastels, layering up until the piece comes alive. It's steady, unhurried work, but the patience is always worth it.
